We have a marvellous diversity of plants and wildlife around the district.

Of course,  talented and dedicated people record these details for the public's benefit. Want to know about local birds? Have to chat to local chap Collis Needs. There's not much the hasn't observed over the years. 

Friends of Kooyoora is a local group also dedicated to preserving and educating the public about aspects of wildlife in the Kooyoora State Park. They meet often with various events,  Check out their website.  more >

Flora

Rob Scholes (54373255) is a superb photographer of local scenery, local plants and mosses etc. and you may be able to visit his gallery or purchase a magnificent picture.

A very talented lady, local artist Marjorie May has painted some of the local native wild flowers.

They are just superb.
